Tyler Humphries

Christopher Tyler Humphries, age 26, of Cleveland, Georgia passed away Monday, May 11, 2020. Tyler was born in Gainesville, Georgia on January 14, 1994. He was the oldest of three boys who always had a smile on his face, had a great sense of humor and was somewhat of a prankster. One of the many highlights of Tyler's day was if he could get you stuck on a word he had been using or doing something he had done; you could tell by the look in his eye when he saw you had picked up a word or habit from him. Tyler, or a.k.a. "Turtle", had a contagious laugh and a big personality that everyone loved. Tyler loved to travel all over, with San Diego and New Mexico being near the top of his list of places he enjoyed visiting. He loved a good day of NASCAR or watching Cowboys football. He was talented both musically and artistically; he played the guitar and, even though he would deny it, he was an amazing artist with drawing and paintings filling his room. He also loved all types of cars, "if it had wheels and moved Tyler loved it!”  Tyler loved Jesus and knew that he was blessed. His relationship with his "granny" Susie was especially strong and one he cherished. Tyler is preceded in death by his grandfather Jackie Humphries, and his Great Uncles Britt and Robin Patterson. He is survived by his mother and step-father, Rachel Carlyle and Paul Ross; father, Chris Humphries; brothers, Jeremy and Adam Humphries; grandparents Susie Smith and Michael Bates, and Melvin Nelms and Janice Humphries; Uncles and aunts Joe and Brittany, Terry and Corrie, Delinda, Dana and Melissa; along with a number of extended aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Though Tyler's life was short, he lived it to the fullest and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
