Marlene Pendergrass

Marlene Pendergrass, loving mother and devoted wife went to meet her Lord and Savior on August 22, 2021. She was daughter of the late Elba Christian and Sybil Nevils Christian. She was a member of North Mt. Zion Church of God, and enjoyed the service and fellowship of the church’s House of Manna program. She retired from the Georgia Extension Service after many years of serving her community and the county’s students in the local 4-H program. Marlene was known for her outgoing personality and joyful laughter. She loved her family, was an avid reader and enjoyed planting and tending to her flowers.

She will be lovingly remembered by all those who knew her, but especially missed by her family: Loving husband of 48 years, Reggie Pendergrass; Son and Daughter-in-law, Jonathan and Sharon Pendergrass; Daughter and Son-in-law, Donell and Harley Deering; Grandchildren; Tanner Pendergrass, Tyler Ponder, Kaleigh Morrow, and Alyssa Ponder, and Four Great Grandchildren, Brothers; Marshall Christian of Harlem Ga, Glen Christian of Keyesville Ga, Sister; Sabrina Schaper of Ormond Beach Fla. She is preceded in death by a Brother, Paul Christian and Sister, Mary Christian Toole.
