John Francis Delaney Jr.

December 15, 1945 ~ February 19, 2020 (age 74)

John Francis Delaney Jr. passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 after an extended illness. John was born to the late John Francis Sr. and Edna Williams Delaney on December 15, 1945 in Indianapolis, Indiana. John was truly a fun guy who loved dogs, cars and tacos but would almost skip the tacos for a good game of poker. He was a funny and kind man who had an infectious laugh. He had a special place in his heart for animals, music and singing. John loved to travel and all things "out west"; he likely would have been a cowboy if the pay was better. He was a hard worker, loyal friend and loving family man and many referred to him as "Papa John".

John is preceded in death by his above mentioned parents and sister, Kathleen Smith. He leaves behind his wife, Jerri Harwell Delaney; sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Susan Delaney, Wayne and Laura Stuler, and Cory and Lauren Harwell; grandchildren, Ansley Delaney, Daniel Stuler, Andrew Stuler, Kayla Harwell; brother-in-law, Kevin Smith; niece, Sharon Wilkes and nephewThomas Smith; along with a host of extended family and dear friends, including the worlds best mother-in-law Marilyn Harwell.
