Bobby James Smith, age 70, passed away peacefully at Northeast Georgia Medical Center due to an extended illness on Sunday, December 6, 2020. Bobby was born in Murphy, North Carolina to Mrs. Thelma (Lovell) Smith and the late Mr. Casper Smith on December 14, 1949.  He is a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church and loved his Savior. Bobby also loved being outside working in his garden and especially loved his lawn mower, cutting his grass and often helping others by keeping their lawn cared for as well. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR, reading, and helping anyone in need. Bobby was a man of few words but it was very clear that he loved his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Casper Smith, wife, Peggy (Sampson) Smith and sister, Margaret (Felix) Lance. Surviving him are his mother, Thelma Smith; daughter, Audrey Mitchell; son and daughter-in-law, Gregory and Kimberly Smith; sisters and brothers-in-law, Wanda and George Sosebee, and Becky and Earl Land; brothers and sisters-in-law, Larry and Judy Smith, Charles and Connie Smith, Johnny and Shirley Smith, Doug and Tracy Smith, and Junior and Debbie Smith; grandchildren, Ashley (Austin) Brown, Tiffany Mitchell, Vanessa Mitchell, Adrian Seeba and Amber Seeba; great-grandchildren, Savannah Sutton, Willow Brown, Khloe Seeba; special sister-in-law, Amy Sampson; along with numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. 

Pallbearers: Charles Tallent, Scott Smith, Adrian Seeba, Kenny Sutton, Austin Brown, Louie Mort
Graveside services: Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at 4:30PM in Cornerstone Cemetery with Rev. Chris Rumfelt officiating. 
Family request mask worn for everyone's safety in accordance with CDC guidelines.
