William A Bongiovanni

William (Bill) A. Bongiovanni, age 69, of Hiawassee, Georgia, passed away
Saturday, September 24, 2022, at North-East Georgia Medical Center.
William was born July 16, 1953, to the late Anthony and Billie (Bender)
Bongiovanni in New York. He retired from the state of Florida after 35
years. He was a member of and former secretary of the Sons of American
Legion Squadron 23; a longtime member of the Veterans Golf League and
volunteered at the VFW Post 7807 for many years. Bill and Susan were
instrumental in organizing and operating the Veterans Snack Shack at the
Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds. He enjoyed bowling, golf and spending
time with his wife and many friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife,
Susan(Dawson) Bongiovanni of Towns County; brothers, Ronald (Cheryl)
Bongiovanni of Arizona, Paul (Marie) Bongiovanni of Michigan; sisters,
Judith Bertsche of New York, Catherine (William) Elson of Virginia and
Margaret (Bradley) Berger of Massachusetts.
