Wanda Walker Green

Mrs. Wanda Walker Green, age 69, of Young Harris, Georgia passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2018 following a brief illness. Wanda was born in Turtletown, Tennessee on September 14, 1948 to the late Boyd and Lissie (Baker) Walker. Wanda was a member of North Mt. Zion Church of God where she volunteered for House of Manna and also in children’s church. She was a prayer warrior and made sure her family knew that her faith came first. Her family and friends were important to her and she made sure to keep in contact with them. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. In her spare time, she enjoyed baking, cooking, and providing food for anyone who needed it. She was soft spoken, had a sense of humor and loved unconditionally. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Theadis Green; son and daughter-in-law, Lynn and Lynda Green of Hiawassee, Georgia; son, Barry Green; sister, Carolyn Baine of Ducktown, Tennessee; brother and sister-in-law, Lee Roy and Linda Walker of Turtletown, Tennessee; sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Bill Coleman of Turtletown, Tennessee; brother and sister-in-law, Mickey and Diana Walker of Ducktown Tennessee; grandchildren, Christopher (Vanessa) Green, Latisha (Cordel) Dye, Matthew (Ashley Bloodworth) Green, Ashley (Brett) Hogsed, Ryan Green and Hannah Green; great grandchildren, Bryton Dye, Breanna Dye, Brayden Green, Raelee Hogsed, and Ryleigh Green; a host of nieces, nephews and friends also survive. 

Visitation: Monday, January 29, 2018 at North Mt. Zion Church of God from 12:00 - 2:00 PM

Service: Monday, January 29, 2018 at North Mt. Zion Church of God at 2:00 PM with Bishop Raburne Wilson and Rev. Scott Eller officiating. Music provided by Ryan Wilson. 

Interment: Following the service at North Mt. Zion Church of God Cemetery.
