Velma Marie Spiva

Mrs. Velma Marie Spiva, age 80 of Hayesville, NC passed away on March 3, 2015 following a brief illness. Marie was born to the late Gorman and Carrie (Arrowood) Maney on November 07, 1934 in Hiawassee, GA. She was a people person who loved everyone, especially her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her brother Lawrence (Bud) Maney and sisters, Mildred Foster and Jean Bradshaw. Marie is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Larry Rumfelt of Hayesville, NC ; sister and brother-in-law Edith and Russell Dyer of Blairsville, GA, Teresa and Ricky Bohannon of Demorest, GA; grandchildren, Chris Rumfelt, Sean Rumfelt and Nic Rumfelt; great grandchildren, Braden, Kellan, Calista and Colter; a number of nieces and nephews also survive. The family received friends at the funeral home on Saturday, March 7, 2015 from 2-4 PM.  Services were held on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 4:00 PM from the chapel of Banister Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Rumfelt officiating. Banister Funeral Home of Hiawassee, GA in charge of arrangements.
