Tom NULL Blackwell

THOMAS LANG BLACKWELL, 67, of Hiawassee, Ga., formerly of DeKalb and Gwinnett Counties, died on

Thursday, February 18, 2010. He lived most of his life in south DeKalb County, attending Southwest DeKalb High School, and then taught there for several years. He also taught Biology at DeKalb College, Fernbank Science Center, and Newton County High School.

He is survived by his wife, Martha Smarr Blackwell, children, Melinda Blackwell Hemphill (Andy) and Monica Blackwell Johnston (Mark), brothers Toby Blackwell, Tim Blackwell, and sister, Sue Ebdon.

There are eight grandchildren: T.J. Hemphill, Marti Hemphill, Drew Hemphill, David Hemphill, Daniel Hemphill, Caroline Johnston, Elijah Johnston, and Gideon Johnston. Also a number of nieces and nephews.
