Theodore John Bogaert, of Hiawassee, GA, passed away Friday Jan. 4 at home. He was 80 years old. The son of the late John and Adel Bogaert of New Haven, CT was born on May 4, 1932. Mr. Bogaert was retired from General Contracting and the U.S. Army. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and building. He was an active member in the Hibiscus Society of the Palm Beaches while living in South Florida, a member of the National Rifle Association, and served with the U.S. Army to achieve the rank of Lt. Colonel. He is survived by his wife Anne Bogaert, who he married on September 7, 1991. Also surviving are his children and there spouses: Michael and Sandy Bogaert of Lynn Haven, FL; James and Marla Bogaert of West Palm Beach, FL; Jean Foster of Gallatin, TN; JoAnn Mooney of West Palm Beach, FL; and Brett Snyder of Boca Raton, FL. His grandchildren are: Jaime Bogaert; Sean and Jason Foster; and Greg, Robert, and Steven Mooney. His great grandchildren are: Abby, Haley, and Alyssa Foster; and Kalyn, Mary and Emma Mooney. Private Funeral Services have taken place at the Banister Funeral home with his ashes being spread in the ocean off of Palm Beach Florida.
