Terry Lee Simpson, age 75 of Hiawassee, Georgia, passed away on Friday, March 1, 2024. He was born to the late Harold and Ruth (Jackson) Simpson on March 7, 1948 in Atlanta, Georgia. Terry loved the Lord and attended church at Upper Hightower Baptist Church. Terry was extremely social, never met a stranger, could strike up a conversation with anyone, and just loved people in general. His love for woodworking turned into a business opportunity remodeling homes for many years. During his down time he enjoyed fishing and working around his house.
Terry is preceded in death by his above mentioned parents and brother, Tommy Simpson; brother-in-law Gene McElwaney He leaves behind his wife of fifty years, Janice Simpson; brother, Hal (Julia) Simpson; sisters, Judy Crawford, Brenda (Bill) Harper and Rita (Rick) Collins; sisters-in-law Audrey (Ronnie) Mathis, Patsy McElwaney; brother-in-law Philip (Janine) McElwaney and a host of extended family and friends.
