Stephen "Pete" Earl Page

Mr. Stephen “Pete” Earl Page, of Young Harris, Georgia, passed away July 6, 2017. Pete was born February 15, 1956 in Greensboro, Georgia to Ruth Heinrich Page and the late Rev. Cecil Weldon Page. Pete was actively involved with the Stephens Lodge #414 Masonic Lodge in Young Harris and was also a member of Sharp Memorial United Methodist Church. Pete served our country four years in the United States Air Force where he was Honorably Discharged. He previously served as a volunteer fire fighter and was passionate about Towns County youth sports and middle school and high school athletics. He coached countless Towns County youth in numerous sports and, along with offering his opinions about referees and officiating, volunteered his time in the concession stand at high school sporting events. 

He is survived by his loving wife, Dr. Sandra Page of Young Harris, Georgia; sons, Fletcher Allan Page of Lexington, Kentucky and Stephen Beau Page of Young Harris, Georgia; daughter, Erin Keira Page of Young Harris, Georgia; brother and sister-in-law, Alley and Tonya Page of Young Harris, Georgia and their children Andy and Kayla Page of Hiawassee, Georgia and Allison Page of Dahlonega, Georgia; sister and brother-in-law, Kathy and Sam Ensley of Blairsville, Georgia and their children Sammy and Dana Ensley and grandchildren Samuel and Elle. 

Visitation: Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at Sharp Memorial United Methodist Church from 4:00 to 6:00 PM

Service: Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at Sharp Memorial United Methodist Church at 6:00 PM with Rev. Fred Whitley officiating. Music provided by Sam Ensley, Julie Wilson, Ryan Wilson, LaTisha Usher and Allison Arnold. 

Family escorts: Dustin Burch, Ethan Burch, Cody Shelton, Sean Spade, Shea Taylor 

Interment: Following the service at Old Union Baptist Church Cemetery with a Masonic service and Military Honors. 

Banister Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
