Sarah Margaret Harkins

Mrs. Sarah Margaret (Howard) Harkins, age 85 of Blairsville, GA passed away on Friday, February 01, 2014. She was born to the late Abner Allison Garrett and Annie Evelyn (O’Sullivan) Howard on August 26, 1928 in Perry, GA. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Harold Harkins in April 2005, son, Jay Harold Harkins, in July 2013, four brothers and two grandsons. She is survived by four daughters and sons-in-law, Johnita and Carl Gene Gay, of Jupiter, FL; Jennifer and Charlie Gregory, of Blairsville, GA; Jana and Robby McClure, of Hiawassee, GA; Jessica and Jim Buchanan, of Blairsville, GA; nine grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, February 05, 2014 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Banister Funeral Home with Pastor Raburne Wilson officiating. Music was provided by Ryan Wilson. Banister Funeral Home of Hiawassee in charge of arrangements.
