Ruth C Guthridge

Ruth Guthridge, age 86, of Hiawassee passed away peacefully on July 22, 2026. Ruth was born October 27, 1939 to Robert and Katherine Clement in Flossmore, Illinois. Ruth was a long-time member of McConnell Memorial Baptist Church where she served as treasurer for the church. At church, Ruth loved attending Bible study. Ruth was an avid artist and seamstress who loved embroidery, and working on small projects like making purses and accessories. Ruth will be deeply missed by all of her family and friends.

Ruth is preceded in death by her husband, Ray Guthridge; parents, Robert and Katherine; brother, Robert Clement, and sister, Marilyn Bostrom. She is survived by her nephews; Harry Dough (Deb) Bostrom, Dean (Tracy) Bostrom, Darwin (Terri) Bostrom, and niece, Lynn (Mike) Barrett.
