Roy Hurman Chastain

Mr. Roy Hurman Chastain, age 84 of Hiawassee, GA passed away on October 05, 2013
following a period of declining health. He was born to the late Samuel Martin
and Cora Mae (Holcomb) Chastain on September 16, 1929 in Cleveland, GA. He is
survived by his wife, Marie Chastain, of Hiawassee, GA; daughter and son-in-law,
Laura Marie and Norman McConnell, of Hiawassee, GA; son and daughter-in-law,
Larry and Debbie Chastain, of Canon, GA; brothers, Claude and Allen Chastain,
both of Sautee, GA; four grandchildren, five great grandchildren and a number of
nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services were held on Monday, October
07, 2013 at 11:00AM from the chapel of Banister Funeral Home with Rev. Kelly
Gunter officiating. Music was provided by Burt Crafford. Pallbearers were Mr.
Chastain’s grandsons and nephews. Interment was in Victory Baptist Church
cemetery. Banister Funeral Home of Hiawassee in charge of arrangements.
