He is survived by his wife Adair Savage, brother Mike Savage (Linda) Baldwin, GA, son Shane
(Jennifer) Savage, Roscommon, MI., daughter Angela Savage (Scott Wingate), Monticello, GA,
and daughter Shannon (Spencer) Seay, Monroe, GA., six grandchildren, Elizabeth Black(whom
he raised from infancy as his own), Ronald Spencer Seay, Preston Savage, Addie Wise, Grace

Doc served in the Armed Forces and was stationed in Korea during the Vietnam War. He was
an avid Harley Davidson motorcycle contender winning many awards and trophies. Retiring in
2004, after 34 years with Delta Air Lines, he also hung up his racing helmet and gear. He went
to work for his long time friend and pit crew member Jim Brown at Brown's Camper Sales and
Service. After 12 years and sustaining a severe injury, he left Brown's. He loved his church
family at Jodeco United Methodist and played guitar in the praise band. In 2018 he and his wife
moved to Young Harris in the North Georgia Mountains. He fell in love with the scenery and
slower pace. He loved his children and family above all else.
Doc left our world a little less and we will miss him greatly. He held his faith close to his heart
and we are confident he will enjoy the fruits of God's promise. We are confident, I say, and
willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. 2 Corinthians 5:8
