Roger D McTaggart

Mr. Roger Daniel McTaggart, age 64 of Murphy, NC passed away on Wednesday, January 05, 2011 following a period of declining health. He was born to the late Arvil Daniel and Willie L. (McCray) McTaggart on June 15, 1946 in Cherokee County, GA. He was preceded in death by a daughter Betty Sue McTaggart. He is survived by sons, Roger McTaggart and Terry McTaggart, both of Blue Ridge, GA; brother, Rondal Paul McTaggart, of Murphy, NC; sister, Mary Lynn McTaggart, of Hiawassee, GA; eight grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services were held on Friday, January 07, 2011 at 11:00AM from Fires Creek Baptist Church. Interment was in Fires Creek Baptist Church cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be sent to Banister Funeral Home, P.O. Box 70, Hiawassee, GA 30546. Banister Funeral Home of Hiawassee in charge of arrangements.
