Roger Weldon Dixon

Roger Weldon Dixon, of Young Harris, GA, formerly of Lake Mary / Orlando, FL passed away on January 16, 2015. He was born in Clinton, Iowa on September 01, 1943. He was a graduate of Stetson University, Deland, FL. Roger was a dedicated educator whose career in teaching classes in Humanities, World History and English spanned 32 years at William R. Boone High School in Orlando, FL. Roger always enjoyed his contact with his students, including former students who kept in touch. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Elaine. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, February 8, 2015 from 2-4 PM at Lake Chatuge Lodge, Hiawassee, GA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to ASPCA at www.aspca.org/donate.  Banister Funeral Home of Hiawassee, GA in charge of the arrangements.
