Roberta Maney Copeland

With great sadness, the family of Roberta M. Copeland announces her passing on Monday, August 7, 2023.  Roberta passed peacefully at her home surrounded by her family and dear friend, Donna Zingale.
Born July 29, 1931, in Hiawassee, Georgia, to Marlor and Ora Maney, Roberta grew up with her sister and brother on Fodder Creek. She received her master’s degree from West Georgia.  Roberta retired from
a 37-year career in the Greater Atlanta School System as a Special Education Teacher. Roberta attended McConnell Baptist Church with her husband and granddaughter for years. She loved the Lord, traveling with her family, and square dancing. Roberta was seen frequently in town with Denise, Mike, or Alysia, and everyone remembers her big smile and kind words. 

She was predeceased by her husband, Marvin “Kenneth” Copeland, and siblings, Mazelle Maney Hedden (Henry), and Wilbur (Bill) Maney (Ouida). She is survived by her daughter, Denise Copeland Aubrecht
and her husband Michael, her granddaughter, Alysia Copeland, several nieces and nephews, and her furry-babies Ziya, Mia, and Simba. The families wish to thank Regency SouthernCare Hospice Services, and
specifically Megan Beaver, for her unfailing support and guidance. Roberta, also known as Nana, will be greatly missed.
