Reverand Richard Daniel DeJesus entered into the presence of his Heavenly Father on March 3, 2026.
Pastor Rick devoted his life to sharing the simple truth, that belief in the death and resurrection of Jesus saves you from death and provides you eternity in heaven John 3:16; Ephesians 2:8-10.
He was born on August 12, 1944, in Bronx, NY to the late Elba Claudio DeJesus and Hector DeJesus.
Pastor Rick dedicated his life to serving God and caring for others. His passion for sharing the Gospel and leading others to Christ spanned decades through ministries that included Florida Bible College, Orlando Teen Ranch, Orlando Prison ministries, Southwest Ranch, Southwest Community Church, Florida Christian School, Kings Christian School, Community Bible Church and Community Christian School, Fellowship Baptist Church, Florida Bible Christian, and Mt. Celo Presbyterian.
His steady guidance, gentle spirit, and unwavering devotion touched countless lives. He faithfully demonstrated the biblical love described in I Corinthians 13:4-7, serving others with patience, kindness, humility, and genuine compassion. Rick cherished his family and especially treasured spending time with his grandchildren.
He will be lovingly remembered by his beloved wife, Sharolyn; his children, Chandra (Andrew), Danny (Kim), and Shannon (John); and his nine grandchildren, Elisha, Elise, Aubrie, Avarie, Aislyn, Sophie, Andrew, Mila (Matt) and Solomon; his sister Peaches (Andrew); his nieces Joyce (Justin) and Tracie; and his nephews and nieces, Andrew (Ravenna), Burke, Christopher, Taylor, Oliver, Norah, and Tate.
Though our hearts are heavy, we rejoice in the promise he so faithfully preached and the eternal peace he now enjoys in the presence of his Savior.
“Those who lead many to righteousness will shine like the stars forever and ever.” - Daniel 12:3
