Richard David Cox

Mr. Richard David Cox, age 51, of Young Harris, GA passed away on April 23, 2013 following a period of declining health. He was born to Frank Dempsey and Beverly (Brannon) Dempsey on March 25, 1962, in Cordele, GA. He was a member of North Mt. Zion Church of God.  He is survived by his wife, Kathy Cox, of Young Harris, GA; four daughters, Jessica Cox, Beverly Cox, Rachel Cox and Ashley Russell; five sons, Mike Russell, John Russell, David Brown, Richard Cox and Adam Cox; two brothers, Frank Cox and Wayne Cox; three sisters, Patricia Brown, Elizabeth Wright and Tina Cox; thirteen grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services were held on Friday, April 26, 2013 at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Banister Funeral Home with Pastor Raburne Wilson officiating. Music was provided by Ryan Wilson. Pallbearers were: Wayne Cox, Mike Russell, John Russell, Richard Cox, Adam Cox and Wesley Cox. Interment was in Macedonia Baptist Church cemetery. Banister Funeral Home of Hiawassee in charge of arrangements.
