Reuben J Silvers

Ruben J. Silvers (R.J.) age 92, of Hiawassee, GA passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2024 surrounded by family. R.J. was born to H.G. and Ruie Silvers, on November 23, 1931, in Hiawassee, GA.  He was the Patriarch of our family, Heaven gained a beautiful soul. His love for his Children and Grandchildren was endless, always showing each of them love and guidance. 

R.J. is survived by his 6 children, Larry and His wife Sonya Silvers, Linda Setser, Debbie Davis, Travis Silvers, Nancy Ledford and Mark Silvers. Also included are 20 Grandchildren, 31 Great-Grandchildren and 5 Great-Great Grandchildren.  R.J. was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Ruie (Dills) Silvers. Sons: Kenney Silvers, Terry Silvers. Brother: F.G. Silvers and Sister: Alice (Silvers) Goodwin. 

Aside from his love for his family and friends, R.J. Silvers was a Humble, Loving, Honorable man who always wore a smile and will be missed by many. 

Visitation: Wednesday, January 10, 2024, 4:00-7:00 PM at Banister-Cooper Funeral Home.

Funeral: Thursday, January 11, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Banister-Cooper Funeral Home.

 

Interment to follow at Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery.
