Raymond Roy Insley III

Raymond Insley passed away with his loving wife beside him on Tuesday, January 31 st , after a long battle
with his health. He is survived by his wife Carolyn Bright Insley, children Raymond (Kristina) Insley IV,
Meghan (Nick) Merchant, and Jeff (Amanda) Jordan- (step). He leaves behind 11 grandchildren:
Raymond, Anna, Rebecca, Benjamin, Jacob, Samuel, Nathan, Christian, Michael, Taylor; Chase. He is
also survived by his two sisters Diane Appel and Carol Husik. Ray leaves behind his beloved Golden
Doodle and Service dog “Missy”.
Ray was born in Baltimore, Maryland, and proudly served in the Air Force. He and Carol moved to
Hiawassee in 2008 where he loved living in the mountains and buying and selling antiques. He loved
spending time with his family and will be missed by all.
