Patricia Gaynelle Theroux

Patricia Hazelwood Theroux, age 84, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 24, 2026. Patricia was born on December 12, 1941, to George and Mazie (Crews) Miles in Richmond, Virginia. She was a faithful and long-time member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she dedicated her life to God. The most important thing to her was having a (large) family, and everything else in life was secondary. Pat spent many years working as a certified registered nurse, nurse practitioner, and midwife, where she delivered what she lovingly called, “a mountain of babies.” Patricia’s profession brought her immense joy and happiness, and she truly loved being a midwife. She was also an amazing mother and loved her children and grandchildren deeply. Some of her hobbies included quilting, traveling, bingeing Hallmark movies, admiring the mountains, and playing the piano. Patricia will be missed dearly by all of her family and friends.Patricia is preceded in death by her parents, George and Mazie, and her daughter, LeeAnn Johnson. She is survived by her husband, Donald Theroux; sons; James Hazelwood Jr., Donald Hazelwood, Michael Hazelwood (Leitha), and Christopher Hazelwood (Julia); daughters, Pattie Christensen (Kelly Ellis), Amy Hazelwood, Kim Hazelwood Cettei (Matt), and Kathryn Anast (Chad), her 23 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.
