Pamela Kay Borner

Mrs. Pamela K. Borner, age 65, of Hiawassee, Georgia, formerly of Ottawa, Illinois, passed away on August 12, 2020 following a brief illness. She was born on January 8, 1955 to Vincent and Shirley (Farrell) Hadley in Ottawa, Illinois. Mrs. Borner was kind and gentle. Those traits helped her to become an excellent and intuitive registered nurse. She was a very loving person and that included the love she had for her pets as well. Her hobby was decorating her home that she shared with her husband Russell of the past 7 years, although they knew each other for 15 years. Pam and Russ were also food vendors of NY Style Italian Ice, pushcart hotdogs, and roasted sweet corn. You may have run into them at fairs and festivals in and around North Georgia. She is survived by her husband and best friend, Russell Borner of Hiawassee, Georgia formerly of New Jersey; daughter, Sara; sons, Eric Halm and Jason Halm; sister, Barbara Lesney; niece and husband, Amanda and Jeff Pena, a number of grandchildren and a host of neighbors and friends. No services are planned at this time. Banister-Cooper Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
