Norma Jean Flanagan

Norma Jean Flanagan, age 83 of Hiawassee, Georgia passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2026 at Chatuge Regional Nursing Home. Norma was born January 14, 1943 to the late Ross and Mae (Anderson) Freeman in Shooting Creek, North Carolina. She devoted her life to the children of Towns County via 4-H and Safekids, to many of her kids she was Mamaw and loved them as her own. She loved the Lord and enjoyed reading her bible. She enjoyed watching westerns and walker texas ranger. She loved her dogs but most of all she loved spending time with her family. She will be deeply missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arthur Bradley, Cliff Flanagan; son, George Bradley; sister, Barbara Ann; granddaughter, Briana Moore. She is survived by her daughter, Anita (Roger) Hicks; brother, Eugene (Marilyn) Freeman, Bobby (Joyce) Freeman; grandchildren, Trey (Stephanie) Moore, Dalton Hicks, Sarah Bradley; great-grandchildren, Cameron Lively, Brenlee Moore, Addison Moore; special sister in law, Mary Allison; many extended family and friends.

Visitation: Saturday, September 5, 2026 from 3:00-5:00pm at Banister-Cooper Funeral Home.
