Nora L Smith

Mrs. Nora Lou Smith, age 73, of Young Harris, GA passed away on Monday, October 18, 2010 in Chatuge Regional Hospital. She was born to the late, Willard and Tilda (Chance) McCray on August 31, 1937 in Hayesville, NC. She is survived by her husband, Mr. Cline Smith, of Young Harris, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Tommy Tanner, of Blairsville, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy and Robin Smith of Hiawassee, GA; Ed and Cathy Smith, of Blairsville, GA; Johnny and Misty Smith, of Young Harris, GA; brothers, Harold McCray, of Hayesville, NC; Fred McCray, of Hayesville, NC; Hurbert McCray, of Young Harris, GA; sister, Dorothy Rogers, of Hiawassee, GA; eleven grandchildren, four great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services were Thursday, October 21, 2010 at 11:00AM from West Union Baptist Church with Rev. James Lee, Rev. Jimmy Rogers, Rev. Denver Ledford and Rev. Tony Dockery officiating. Music was provided by Tommy Matheson. Pallbearers were: Chris Smith, Randy Smith, Jason Matheson, Casey Long, Kevin Parker, Curtis King, Lonnie McCray and Nathan Noblet. Interment was in Victory Baptist Church cemetery. Banister Funeral Home of Hiawassee in charge of arrangements.
