Michael Ashley Usher

Michael Ashley Usher, age 64, of Hiawassee passed away suddenly August 12, 2026 near Franklin, North Carolina. Michael was born June 16, 1962 in Springfield, Georgia to Brenda and W.R. Usher. He graduated from Savannah Tech in Machine Shop in 1981, was a machinist at Gulfstream Aerospace for several years and painted houses for many years. In his freetime, he enjoyed riding his motorcycles, camping and fishing and spending time on the Savannah River. In the 80s and 90s he raced motorcycles through WERA and the American Motorcycle Racing Association. He was so happy living in the north Georgia mountains and riding his motorcycles on the roads and trails. He enjoyed watching AMA Supercross and college football.

Mike is survived by his brother, Kevin Usher; his aunt, Willene “Aunt Neen” (CL) Arnsdorff and his cousins Mark Arnsdorff (Krissy) and Joy (Dennie) Pittman and their families and his uncle, Bobby Usher and his family.
