Melody Dawn Lankford

Melody Dawn Lankford, age 42, of Hiawassee, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2025. She was born in Arizona on May 26, 1982. Melody was a member of Owl Town Church of God. She loved horses and to read in her spare time. Melody met Wesley Berry, the love of her life, twenty-four years ago and they built a little family of their own. Melody worked at Mary's Southern Grill for fourteen years where her co-workers and customers adored her. She was pursuing a career at Harrahs Cherokee Valley River Casino as a security dispatcher. She was a kind person who everyone loved, she will be deeply missed. 

Melody is preceded in death by her father, Floyd Lankford. Survived by her husband, Wesley Berry; daughter, Tegan Berry, son, Damion Berry; mother, Deborah Lankford; Foster parents, Mike and Linda Himsey; brother, Coy Lankford, Josh Himsey, Jason Himsey Jamie Hunter; sisters, Amber Lankford, Megan Blythe, Stepanie Hunter, Diane and Judy.
