Mary Ellen Marshall

Mary Ellen Marshall, age 75 of Hiawassee, GA, passed away on Monday, April 13, 2015. She was born to the late Lawrence and Oma (Lee) Morgan on September 26, 1939 in Hayesville, NC. Ellen was a member of Woods Grove Church where she was a Sunday school teacher and choir member for many years. She is survived by her children, daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Russell Roberts of Young Harris, GA; daughter, Connie Cunningham of Alpharetta, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Jennifer Marshall of Hiawassee, GA; Steve and Connie Marshall of Young Harris, GA; sisters, Pat Day of Marble, NC and Becky Anderson of Marble, NC, nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews also survive. Ellen was preceded in death by her husband Ross Marshall. Funeral services were held at Woods Grove Church on Thursday, April 16, 2015 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Richard Roberson and Rev. Danny Burch officiating. Music was provided by Alan Kendall and Jordan Marshall. Pallbearers were Seth Marshall, Andrew Cunningham, Matthew Roberts, Jordan Marshall, Danny Marshall and Rodney Marshall. Interment was at Woods Grove Church cemetery with Rev. Scott Sims officiating. The family received friends Thursday, April 16, 2015 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 P.M. at Woods Grove Church. Banister Funeral Home of Hiawassee, Georgia in charge of arrangements.
