MariaKristina Stanley Waite was born on August 28, 1984, in Great Falls, Montana, to her loving parents, Bryan and Denise Stanley. From the very beginning, Kristina carried a warmth and kindness that would define her life and touch everyone blessed enough to know her.

She was the warm, welcoming, and endlessly loving big sister to Jessica Breanne Stanley Zarzour (Grant) and Denise Alexandra Stanley Ross (Jake). Being a sister was one of her greatest joys, and she filled that role with gentleness, loyalty, and a quiet, steady love that never wavered.

Kristina was also an extraordinary aunt to her five beloved nieces and nephews—Wyatt, Campbell, Frances, Charlotte, and Margaret. She loved each of them deeply and uniquely, always present with patience, tenderness, and joy. Wyatt lovingly knew her as “God Mom,” a title Kristina wore with pride and devotion, embodying it through her faith, guidance, and unconditional love.

Kristina was preceded in death by her beloved grandfathers, Richard Arnett and Charles Stanley, whom she loved dearly and whose presence remained close to her heart throughout her life. She was also a devoted and loving granddaughter to Amparo Arnett and Jewel Stanley, holding a deep affection and reverence for her that reflected Kristina’s enduring devotion to family across generations.

From a young age, Kristina had a deep love for horses. She grew up riding as a child, finding peace, confidence, and joy in the rhythm and connection of horseback riding. That early passion stayed with her and ultimately led to a scholarship to Wesleyan College, where she rode on the equestrian team. A proud Purple Knight, Kristina earned her degree in early philosophy and a master’s in education in early education, carrying both discipline and grace into everything she pursued.

Kristina went on to become a kindergarten teacher and also taught second grade at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. One of her main responsibilities as a second-grade teacher was preparing students for their first Holy Communion—a task that truly matched her compassionate nature and perfectly reflected her heart. She made a profound impact on her students, shaping young lives through patience, kindness, and a genuine love for children that could be felt the moment she entered a room.

On March 12, 2017, Kristina married the love of her life, Sterling Waite. Their love was pure, devoted, and deeply beautiful. Kristina was never happier than when she was with Sterling. She adored his passion for music, joyfully attending his shows and watching him play, her love for him evident in every glance and smile. Inspired by his creativity, Kristina became artistic herself, expressing her heart through abstract painting. She cherished their shared adventures—especially tandem biking together—and loved Sterling’s adventurous spirit, the way he embraced life with curiosity and courage. She met that spirit with quiet joy, unwavering devotion, and a heart that was always most at peace by his side.

Kristina loved people in a way that was rare and extraordinary. She never searched for faults and never saw the worst in anyone—only the good. She loved deeply and freely, leaving behind a sense of peace and light wherever she went. She had an incredible love for literature, devouring books within hours, always eager to learn, imagine, and feel deeply.

Despite enduring significant health challenges over many years, Kristina never complained. She carried herself with grace, strength, and humility, always thinking of others before herself. She was truly perfect in every way.

Kristina’s beauty was truly enchanting; her soft brown curls lovingly framed her perfectly almond-shaped brown eyes. Sterling often compared her delicate nose to Audrey Hepburn’s timeless elegance. Her beautiful skin and her distinct, unforgettable laugh—so contagious and full of joy—could light up any room and lift every soul within it.

She was endlessly sweet, thoughtful, and selfless, caring more about others than herself. Her faith was deep and steadfast, guiding her life and anchoring her soul. Kristina was a devoted and loving wife, and Sterling cared for her with extraordinary tenderness. He held her in his arms as she passed peacefully, a final and profound expression of the love that defined their life together.

Kristina’s life was one of love—given freely, received fully, and remembered forever. She will be missed beyond measure and loved beyond words.
