Linda Faye Millians

November 26, 1944 — May 1, 2024

Hiawassee

Linda "Faye" Sims Millians was born in Washington Ga on November 26, 1944 and danced into heaven on May 1, 2024.

Linda was preceded into heaven by her parents, Andrew and Nettie Sims, sister Crettie Mae Sims, brother Sidney Oscar Sims, her brother and sister in law Bobby and Sylvia Sims, and her niece, Gina Sims. She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband, Dennis L. Millians, her children, Tommy Jefferson Allen Jr (Angela), Dana Allen Rhodes (Philip) and Whitney Wells Street (Aubrey). Her step-daughters Valerie English (Jimmy), Lucy Repp (Rusty) and LeighAnn Echols. Sisters, Betty Ann Daniels and Diedra Sims.

Grandchildren Zachary Allen (Jenshe), Ashleigh Rhodes, Christen Sever (Zack) and Wesley Hammock, Daniel, Megan, Morgan and Dillon Echols. Great grandchildren Kamryn, Elijah, Ella and Nellie.

Many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, and a host of cousins.

Linda graduated from Augusta College and once clerked for a judge, studied as an LPN, and made a career at the State of Georgia working 34 years combined in eligibility, child abuse and neglect, adoptions and foster care, and retiring in 2004 from child care licensing.  Protecting and promoting children was her life’s passion. Linda spent the majority of her life in Waynesboro and Augusta, but ultimately she and Dennis settled in the North Georgia Mountains in Hiawassee Ga when Zach became a latchkey kid in 2008. She became a member of Macedonia Baptist Church and taught adult and kids Sunday school classes for many years. Linda loved to sing and dance whenever the opportunity arose and sometimes that was at the grocery store, church, or just on her front porch. She was a Christian lady who loved Jesus, her family, Elvis and old hymns. She touched lives wherever she went especially whistling while she worked and it was impossible not to love her. The world was a better place with her in it and will be a lot less bright without her. She will always be our sunshine.
