Larry Gene Owenby

Larry Gene Owenby, age 77, of Young Harris, Georgia, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2026. Born on December 17, 1948, in Murphy North Carolina, to the late Wayne and Stella Owenby. Larry was a loving and caring man who always treated others with kindness. He was a carpenter by trade who was known for his dedicated hard work. Larry was passionate about his love for old cars. He will be dearly missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Carol Owenby and Terry Giles; sister, Phyllis Giles. He is survived by his wife, Gail Owenby; sons, Ricky Owenby, Joseph Owenby, Roger (Robin) Owenby, and Larry (Bridget) Owenby; daughters, Tammy Crisp, Sharon (Tommy) Culbertson, and Sandra (Alicia) Pinnick; brother, Roger Giles; sister, Vickie (Doyle) Buchanan, and a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
