Mr. Joseph Price, age 74 of Price Lane, Hayesville, North Carolina passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Joseph was born March 18, 1947 in Young Harris, Georgia to the late Reva Lois Price.
When a man's day is done and it comes time for their spirit to leave this earth he is not measured by the size of his tombstone but rather by the impact he had on those around him. Joseph was a man of immeasurable impact. That rare individual that no matter the circumstances stepped up to the plate. Joseph was a selfless man spending his life making sure his family was taken care of. When others couldn't manage he picked up the slack. When somebody was left with nowhere to go he was there. When somebody was going through a tough time he helped in any way he could. He was a workhorse of a man. If he wasn't at work you better believe stuff was getting done around the house, but it wasn't all about the work to him. His greatest passion was family. Just having people there to visit with, talk to, listen to stories, and throw something on the grill was some of his favorite things. He also loved his dogs and classic cars. We only wish there were more days to be around him but God said it was time to come home. His spirit will continue to live among us. We all love you and until we meet again you will forever be in our hearts.
Joseph was a lifelong resident of the area and he loved his mountains. He is preceded in death by his mother, Reva Lois Price; and daughter, Rachel Anita Price. He is survived in death by his wife, Sue Price; children, Renee Townson, Denise Jones, Anthony (Julie) Parker, Amanda Price, Brittany (Derek) Josack, Joseph Leo Price II, Isaiah Price, Taylor Laster, Jadyn Price, and Tristan Price; fifteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; brother, Richard Joseph(Carla) Russo; one niece; one nephew; and extended family and friends.
Memorial service: September 25, 2021 at Woods Grove Baptist Church at 2:00 pm.
