Johnny Wimpey

Mr. Johnny Wimpey, age 91 of Blairsville, GA passed away on October 16, 2013
following an extended illness. He was the last of seventeen children born to his
family to pass away. He was born to the late Andrew and Ceanie (Duckworth)
Wimpey on March 19, 1922 in Blairsville, GA. He was preceded in death by a
grandson, John Wimpey Cagle. He is survived by his wife, Louise Wimpey, of
Blairsville, GA; two sons, Johnny L. Wimpey, of Lawrenceville, GA and Michael
Garrett, of Doraville, GA; three grandchildren, Andrew Cagle, Mark Garrett and
Todd Garrett; one great grandchild, Jessica Garrett; one great-great grandchild,
Brooklyn Saigekahn. Funeral services were held Friday, October 18, 2013 at
1:00PM from the chapel of Banister Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Brinkworth
officiating. Pallbearers were: Andrew Cagle, Wayne Kilgore, Robert Williams,
Todd Garrett, Mark Garrett and Mark Saigekahn. Interment was in Old Union
Baptist Church cemetery. Banister Funeral Home of Hiawassee in charge of
arrangements.
