Joann McCranie

JoAnn McCranie, age 89, of Hiawassee, Georgia passed away on Monday, July 7, 2025 after an extended illness. JoAnn was born to the late Moses and Phoebe (Kelly) Watts on October 18, 1935 in Ironton, Ohio. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church and a nurse for many years. JoAnn enjoyed traveling, cross stitching, jewel art and painting. She was a devoted mother and grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her above-mentioned parents; children Gara Fitchet and Gary Bishop II. She leaves behind her daughter Carla Smith, son Steve Bishop, eight grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. There are no services planned at this time.
