Hilton John Lake

Mr. Hilton John Lake, age 78 of Young Harris, GA passed away suddenly on January 18, 2012 at Chatuge Regional Hospital. He was born to the late Albert and Helen (Treble) Lake on December 29, 1933 in Detroit, MI. He was a retired police officer for the City of Miami, FL and also on the City of Miami Bomb Squad. He is a lifetime member of the IABT and the Fraternal Order of Police.  He is survived by his wife Connie Holloway Lake, of Young Harris, GA; daughter, Deanne Henry, of Young Harris, GA; son, Charles W. Lake, of Pembroke Pines, FL; grandchildren, Tracy Ann Lake, John Charles Lake, Amanda Catherine Lake and Luke Anthony Henry all of Pembroke Pines, FL. Memorial services were held on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at 2:00PM from McConnell Memorial Baptist Church. Music was provided by Wayne Hundley and Patsy Daniel. The family has accepted flowers, but in lieu of flowers if you wish, donations may be made to McConnell Memorial Baptist Church, Freeing the Future at the church address. Banister Funeral Home of Hiawassee in charge of arrangements.
