Hiawassee

Henry Cline Noblet (Master Sergeant, U.S. Army, Retired) age 89, of Hiawassee, Georgia passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 surrounded by loved ones. He was born in Batesville, Georgia to the late Andrew Jackson and Della Mae (Kastner) Noblet on July 12, 1936. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and United States Army veteran whose life was marked by service, dedication, and love for his family. Henry served honorably in the United States Army for 26 years, retiring in 1980. His military career included serving in Vietnam, assignments in Germany, New Jersey, worked at the United States Military Academy at West Point, and concluding his service at Fort Benning. His Army stories, told with pride and humor, will be shared and cherished for years to come. One of his proudest moments was witnessing his grandson, Aaron, enlist in the Army. Henry married his wife Louise Presley in 1968. They shared a lifelong partnership rooted in hard work and devotion to family. Together, they owned and operated the Waffle Shack in Hiawassee, a well-known local establishment. And later he drove an Egg delivery truck for Chatuge Distributing, owned and operated by one of his dearest friends Ricky Seabolt. Henry loved the Seabolt family as much as his own. Though Henry had no biological children, he was a father figure in every way that mattered to his two stepsons. He loved his family fiercely and took that role seriously. But without question, his greatest joy was being a grandfather. Even as age slowed him down, his devotion never wavered. Henry leaves behind a family forever changed by his love, discipline, humor, and unwavering presence. He will be remembered for his service, his stubbornness, his generosity, and the way he always took care of his people. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Della Noblet, siblings, Muriel Moody, Alvin Noblet, Earl Noblet, Ernest Noblet, Dorothy Moore, Betty Nicholson, Raymond Noblet and Rachel Eller. He is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Wesley and Tricia Beck; Dwayne and Joyce Beck, sister and brother-in-law, Lea Drane and Brady Tatum; grandchildren, Cherise and Brandon Barrett, Aaron Beck and Renita, and Chris and Rachel Beck; great-grandchildren, Jadrian Barrett, Braydon Barrett, Logan Beck, and Bruce Beck.
