Gregory John Lanier Berrong

Gregory J. Berrong, age 51, of Hiawassee, GA passed away on June 14, 2017 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born on September 14, 1965 in Hiawassee, GA. He is the son of Donnie Berrong and the late William Wayne Berrong. He was preceded in death by his brother Denver Berrong. He is survived by two siblings, Audrey Berrong Simpson and Hugh Berrong. Greg was an avid outdoors person. He loved camping with friends, hunting and fishing. Pallbearers are Randy Barnes, Danny Barnes, Roger Hicks, Donald Hicks, Bud Scott and Dale Woods. Honorary Pallbearers are Rick Justice and Michael Anderson. 

Visitation: Saturday, June 17, 2017 from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at Banister Funeral Home. 

Service: Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 4:00 PM from the chapel of Banister Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Eller officiating. Music provided by Kathy Stover. 

Interment: Following the service at Upper Hightower Cemetery.
