Floyd Hays Pratt

Mr. Floyd Hays Pratt, age 86 of Young Harris, GA passed away at his home following a brief illness. He was born to the late John J. and Lucia (Curry) Pratt on March 31, 1926, in Omega, LA. He is survived by his wife, Nora Pratt, of Young Harris, GA; daughters, Judith Marke, of Orlando, FL; Susan Hess, of Riverside, CA; Peggy Johnson, of Baker, MT; Deborah Pratt, ; Pamela Burkhard, of New Smyrna Bch, FL; Cheryl Bunce, of Seven Lakes, NC; Carol Griffis, of York, SC; Ginger Williams, of Valdosta, GA; sons, Jay Pratt, of Apopka, FL; Jonathan Pratt, of Young Harris, GA; one sister, Zelda Aldridge, of CA; twenty-seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and number of nieces and nephews also survive. Floyd was the founder of Floyd H. Pratt Construction and built many beautiful custom homes in and around Towns County GA. Floyd and his wife, Nora were two days short of their 65th Anniversary. They loved living in the mountains and took great pleasure in the natural beauty that surrounded them every day at their home overlooking the Young Harris Valley. Floyd enjoyed planting fruit trees, raising a garden, fishing and spending time with his many children and grandchildren. The family will be holding a memorial service for Floyd in Florida.
