Elroy Harrison Hartman, age 94, loving Father, Grandfather, Great- Grandfather and PaPa to all, peacefully went to be with our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, April 7, 2026. He was born in Niagara Falls, NY on September 20, 1931 to Fred and Beatrice Hartman. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. Married the love of this life Marilyn W. Pietrewicz, who preceded him in death in 2017. He retired from Southern Bell Telephone and lived for a majority of his retirement in Boynton Beach, Florida, before moving to the North Georgia mountains. His hobbies included collecting and building trains, singing in choirs, telling stories, eating hot dogs, and sitting by the lake. He will always be remembered for being able to fix anything, his kindness to all, his warm smile and his love for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
He is survived by his daughter, Laurie DenHartog (Brian); his grandson, Eric DenHartog (Carol), and great grandchildren, Ezra DenHartog and Taylor Greendale. Extended family members include; brother-in-law, Barry Pietrewicz (Dorothy); nieces, Tiffany Haver (Sean), Nataly Resto (Gabe), Katherine
Hartman, Nancy Rosie and children of extended family members; Jackson, Emerson, McKenna, and Eliott. All will miss him dearly.
His ashes will be layed to rest with his wife’s ashes and there will be a celebration of both their lives, to be announced.
