Diane Gibson Berrong

Diane G. Berrong, age 70 of Hiawassee, Georgia passed away Monday, March 4, 2024 surrounded by her family at her home. Diane was born January 10, 1954 to the late Ensley Jr. and Mary Ruth (Stockton) Gibson in Young Harris, Georgia. Diane was a member of Bell Scene Baptist Church. She was a Godly woman that would always tell her kids to turn to God for whatever you may be going through. She enjoyed reading, her girls trips, and the movie "dirty dancing". Most of all she loved her family and all of their gatherings, cookouts and anytime they could all be together. 

She is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Daniel Berrong; daughters, Sherry (Wayne) Canterbury, Becky (John) Landress, Lisa (Michael) West; brother, Butch (Vickie) Gibson; sister, Darlene (Roger) Barrett; grandchildren, Tyler (Peita) Smith, Cody (Tori) Canterbury, Chelsea (Jaye) Arnold, Whitley (Michael) Phillips, Brett (Paige) Barrett, Madison ( Kobe) Denton, Zach (Lea) Landress, Colton (Caitlyn) West, Caylyn (Dylan) Carmichael; twelve great-grandchildren and two on the way; five nephews; four nieces.

Visitation: Wednesday, March 6, 2024 from 11:00-2:00 pm at Banister-Cooper Funeral Home 

Funeral: Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Banister-Cooper Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Moss officiating.
