Dale Clyde Wood

Dale Clyde Wood, age 61, of Young Harris, Georgia passed away on Sunday, October 23, 2022. He was born to the late Mr. Jule and Mrs. Donnie (Ledford) Wood in Hiawassee, Georgia on August 18, 1961. Dale was a child of God and had a close relationship with Him. He was a one of a kind man, funny, likable and always giving to people. He never met a stranger and would be instant friends with everyone. Dale enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing and loved living in the mountains but most of all he loved spending time with his grandson. 

 

Dale is preceded in death by his above mentioned parents Jule and Donnie Wood. He is survived by his beloved companion Mary Cothern; son Timothy Wood; grandson Easton Dale Wood; sisters Glenda Hooper, Golda Koluder and Barbara Tucker, along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Dale will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

 

Visitation: Thursday, October 27, 2022 5:00 to 7:00pm at Banister-Cooper Funeral Home. 

Funeral: Friday, October 28, 2022 at 11:00am at Banister-Cooper Funeral Home with Rev. Clark Moss and Rev. David Feathers.

Burial at Lower Hightower. 

Pallbearers: Adam Tucker, Dustin Hooper, Chris Phillips, Glen Hicks, Robert Mull and Landon Shook.  

 

Visitation: Thursday, October 27, 2022 5:00 to 7:00pm at Banister-Cooper Funeral Home. 

Funeral: Friday, October 28, 2022 at 11:00am at Banister-Cooper Funeral Home with Rev. Clark Moss and Rev. David Feathers.

Burial at Lower Hightower.
