Mrs. Christine Watkins Brown, age 79 of Hiawassee, GA passed away on Tuesday, May 03, 2011 following a period of declining health. She was preceded in death by Calta Lovingood. She was born to the late Jack Andrew and Essie (Teems) Watkins on June 22, 1931 in Hayesville, NC. She is survived by daughters, Sherry Thomas, of Hiawassee, GA; Lucille Wooten, of Demorest, GA; sons, Nelson Bradshaw, of Hartwell, GA; Len Bradshaw, of Hiawassee, GA; Danny Brown, of Hiawassee, GA; brother, Mark Watkins, of Hiawassee, GA; sister, Kathern Grizzle, of Hiawassee, GA; ten grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services were held on Friday, May 06, 2011 at 11:00AM from Mt. Pleasant Church of God with Rev. Glen Eller, Rev. Jeff Conner and Rev. Greg Roberts officiating. Music was provided by Shelia Eller. Pallbearers were: Scott Bradshaw, Justin Thomas, Robby Thomas, Josh Barnes, Jacob Barnes and Lawson Eller. Interment was in Persimmon Baptist Church cemetery in Clayton, GA. Banister Funeral Home of Hiawassee in charge of arrangements
