Charles "Butch" Patterson Jr., age 82, passed away at home on Friday, October 29, 2021 in Young Harris, Georgia. Butch was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles and Bertha (Gill) Patterson, born on July 24,1939 in Baltimore, Maryland. Butch served his country in the US Army, then went on to become a master electrician and an entrepreneur. He was a member of the local VFW, the Wellness Fitness Center and a member of the IBEW Local 24. He spent his free time building race cars, going to the races, reading, golfing, splitting wood, tending to his flower and vegetable gardens and was extremely passionate about all animals. He loved music more than most people and going to concerts. Butch collected beer cans and always dreamed of owning a bar; that dream came true when he opened the "Ten Mile House" in Owings Mills, Maryland where he and his daughter worked together for 20 years before he retired to the North Georgia mountains.
Butch is preceded in death by his above-mentioned parents Charles and Bertha Patterson. He leaves behind his daughter, Deborah Patterson; his partner and companion, Dianne Martindale; and many, many friends and extended family.
