Carolyn Ledford Sutton

Carolyn Ledford Sutton, age 79, of Hiawassee passed away May 17, 2025 peacefully at Northeast Georgia Medical Center after a brief illness. Carolyn was born to parents Erith and Connice (Free) Ledford in Clarksville, Georgia on February 17, 1946.

She is preceded in death by her above mentioned parents; husband, Bon Sutton; son, Bradley Jeremy Sutton; and brothers, Junior Ledford and Ronald Ledford.

She is survived by daughters, Angie Turk of Cornelia and Aundrea (Scott) Dyer of Hiawassee; sister Arlene Collins ; brothers, Donald Ledford, David Ledford and Leon Ledford; grandchildren, Dakota and Chelsea Barret, Tristin and Madison Turk, Darringer and Gabby Barrett, CJ Turk, Jackson Wheeler, and Bradley Sutton; great grandchildren, Benjamin Barrett and Nora Turk; and numerous nephews and nieces.

Carolyn was a stay at home mother to her children for many years. She enjoyed her flowers and gardening, cooking, family get-togethers and taking care of other people. She adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday May 20, 2023 at 2:00PM at Burch Cemetery with Rev Stan Wood officiating.
