Carol Mae Ledford

Carol Mea Ledford, age 77, of Hiawassee, Georgia, passed away on Friday, October 23, 2026 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Carol was born November 01, 1948 in Florance, Oregon to Mrs. Sadie Casper. Mrs. Carol was a member of McConnell Memorial Baptist Church and the secretary of her Sunday School class. She was every kind, gentle and warm thought you could have about a person, wife and mother. She spent her life pouring love into her children and later into her grandchildren. Of all the roles she had in life, being a grandmother was her favorite. Carol will be deeply missed.

She is preceded in death by her mother Sadie Casper (?). She is survived by her husband of sixty years, Sam Ledford; son and daughter-in-law Jason and Larinda Ledford, son Curt Ledford, grandchildren Emma Kate Clark, Luke Ledford, Caleb Ledford and Jenna Brooke Ledford; great-grandchildren Sadie and Briggs. Along with extended family and friends. 

Memorial Service: November 8, 2026 at McConnell Memorial Baptist Church at 3:00pm.
