Buddy Withiam Denton

Mr. Buddy Withiam Denton, age 65 of Hiawassee, GA passed away on Friday, February 21, 2014 following a period of declining health. He was born to the late Esco “E.C.” and Faye (Berrong) Denton on October 30, 1948 in Clayton, GA. He is survived by his step-mother, Dorothy Denton, of Hiawassee, GA; children, Gerald Denton, Michael Denton, Belinda Denton Munger, of Hiawassee, GA; Brock Denton and Bailey Denton; brother, Billy Denton, of Hiawassee, GA; sisters, Amelia Burrell, of Hiawassee, GA and Mattie Denton, of Hiawassee, GA; fourteen grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.  Funeral services were held on Sunday, February 23, 2014 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Banister Funeral Home with Rev. Harold Ledford and Rev. Donnie Jarrard officiating. Pallbearers were: Curtis Denton, Greg Denton, Lamar Burrell, Austin Denton. Honorary pallbearer, Tony Denton. Interment was in Lower Hightower Baptist Church cemetery. Banister Funeral Home of Hiawassee in charge of arrangements.
