Brenda Lou Scoggins

Brenda Lou Scoggins, age 70; of Blairsville, GA passed away Saturday, June 6, 2015 at her residence. Mrs. Scoggins was the daughter of the late S.T. and Jesse Lou (Boles) Carey. She was the devoted wife to Bill Scoggins for 54 years and beloved mother and grandmother to her children and grandchildren. She was a member of Hiawassee United Methodist Church and past president of the Hapeville Georgia Lioness Club. She was a devoted member of HUMC Choir for a number of years and loved to garden. She was a dear friend to her neighbors and loved by many.  
Survivors include her husband Bill Scoggins; son and daughter-in-law Kyle and Marie Scoggins of Marietta, GA and daughter Christi Scoggins of Senoia, GA; grandchildren Lee Michael Rouse, David Scoggins and Katy Scoggins; sister Patricia Moore of Villa Rica, GA. Along with a number of nieces, nephews and loving family and friends.
Services were held Monday, June 8, 2015 at Hiawassee United Methodist Church at 1 PM. Rev. Sam Hamby officiated. Pallbearers were Tommy Kirchner, Stanley Southern, Conley Carter, Wayne Buchanan, John Horkavy and Mike Henderson. Family received friends Sunday June 7, 2015 at Banister Funeral Home from 5-7pm.
