Birl NULL Henderson

Mr. Birl Henderson, age 84 of Young Harris, GA passed away on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 following a period of declining health. He was born to the late Howard and Lorrie (Lee) Henderson on April 20, 1925 in Young Harris, GA. He was a member of Stephens Lodge #414 F &AM. He is survived by his wife, Louise Henderson of Young Harris, GA; daughter, Debra Youngblood; sons, Harold Henderson, Gene Henderson and Kenneth Henderson, all of Young Harris, GA; brothers, Jim Henderson, George Henderson, Bass Henderson and Lloyd Henderson, all of Blairsville, GA; nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services were held on Thursday, January 28, 2010 at 2:00 PM from West Union Baptist Church, with Rev. Jerry Young and Rev. Jason Helton officiating. Music was provided by the church choir. Pallbearers were: Jeff Tanner, Cecil Shook, Gregg Henderson, Wes Hooper, Jerry Shook and Larry Shook. Honorary pallbearers were: Dexter Shook, Ricky Tanner, Michael Shook, Danny Edwards, David Brown, Danny Brown and Greg Hooper. Interment was in West Union Baptist Church cemetery. Banister Funeral Home of Hiawassee in charge of arrangements.
