Alline Ferguson Daly, age 78 of Hiawassee, Georgia passed away Monday, April 1, 2024. Alline was born December 20, 1945 in Hiawassee, Georgia to the late Huey and Maybell (Shook) Ferguson. Mrs. Alline was a member of Enotah Baptist Church and an Eastern Star. She had a strong faith that she tended to as gingerly and steadfastly as she did her beloved flowers having read the entire Bible through over six times. She had a teaching spirit that never missed an opportunity to share wisdom of her faith, knowledge of gardening, baking, cooking, or sewing. She loved to bake and decorate cakes, making many for weddings and birthdays for locals, making cookies and cupcakes for Bible school, and carrying sweet treats to the public safety of Towns County at Christmas. Her charity and generous spirit was ever reaching in all that she did. Alline was a kind person who always made one feel at home when visiting with her having been feed physically with hearty home cooking and sent home with leftovers for days and surrounded by love and warmth. She took great pride in her children never ceasing to show her support and encouragement; hers was a love that saw no bounds when it came to her children. She was equally adored by her family and friends, but the love of her great grandchildren surpassed them all with her hours of playing play dough and microwave and walking though her gardens and playing by her creek. She will be deeply missed by her family and community.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Huey and Maybell ( Shook) Ferguson; husband, John Daly Jr.; son, Thomas Daly; sisters, Sue Ferguson and Odena Denton. She is survived by her son, Terry (Elizabeth) Daly; daughter, Priscilla (Charles) Denney; brother, David Ferguson; sister, Linda Jean; grandchildren, Chris Denney, Ashley Dycus, Holly Teal, Kaleigh Daniell; great-grandchildren, Logan, John, Mark, Gracie, Brantley.
Visitation: Thursday, April 4, 2024 from 5:00-8:00pm at Banister-Cooper Funeral Home.
Funeral: Friday, April 5, 2024 at 11:00am at Banister-Cooper Funeral Home with Rev. Donnie Jarrard and Terry Daly officiating.
Banister-Cooper is in charge of arrangements for Mrs. Daly.
